April Showers

I almost called this post, April Fools, but I didn't want people to think that the post was a joke.

News:

About a week ago I released Vigilance – First Colony book 7 and it has gotten off to a great start. The audiobook is currently in production, but I don’t have a release date for it yet. I included a rather lengthy author note in this book where I talk about my journey to become an author. I wasn’t sure whether anyone would be interested in hearing about that, but I’ve gotten a nice response from it which was nice.

I’ve begun writing the eighth book in the First Colony series. A tentative release date for this book will be in the middle of June. My goal for the month of April is to make some serious progress with the writing before spring break. I’ll be taking a few days off around the Easter holiday and then doing some traveling. I’ll be meeting with some other SF authors which should be a lot of fun. Then it’s back to work.

I have a working title for First Colony – Book 8 and it’s called — Fracture

That’s it for this month. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Hi Ken I just want to let you know I have enjoyed reading your books. I look forward to each release and can’t wait for the next one. I also read the Ascension series and enjoyed that as well. I was looking forward to that series to continue as I feel it wasn’t finished.
I’m retired from corporate IT myself and was almost laid off at one time so I understand the way you felt. I wish you well in your endeavors.

  2. Yep. I agree with Dave. The Ascension series need a sequel.
Just finished First Colony book 6 and loved it. Looking forward for book 7 audible version…
Thanks for all those wonderful books!

  3. I agree with Dave and Gabriel and am up to date in both the Ascension and First Colony series. I too was make redundant after over 30 years in IT, so understand the trials of such a change. I love reading and considered writing at many times but realistically could come nowhere near the fantastic vision, mastery, and quality of Ken and some others. Keep up the good work Ken, love your books!!

  4. You are a great and good writer. I have enjoyed read the fresh style you have.
I have an simple idea you can develop for a new story. As I am not an author you are welcome to have it for yourself if you can use it. Feel free to email me for the framework of my idea.

  5. Ken, Great job on Vigilance! You’ve really spread the story out and. Created several interesting story lines to follow. You’re good at your craft. Thanks for sharing your writing history. I think this most recent book is a breakout novel for you. The scope just got wider and we have an insidious New bunch of bad guys. I’m already looking forward to the next book! I also enjoyed the Star Shroud series and would gladly read another book in that series. You are turning into a great storyteller. Keep them coming!!

  6. I have read all your books. I hope you decide to complete the broken crown series.
