I'm excited to share my latest book release.

They’ve spent years exploring this world, but they were living on borrowed time. Only they didn’t know it.

Six months ago, Connor learned what the alien race that populated New Earth feared—a mysterious enemy who nearly brought about the collapse of an entire civilization. To help the colony prepare for this new threat, Connor rejoins the Colonial Defense Force. 

Using alien technology, Connor opens a gateway to another universe hoping to learn more about the threat. Instead, he receives a colonial distress beacon. Six months ago, they’d left people behind on a mission, all presumed dead. The beacon might be them, or it might be a trap, but Connor will not ignore the call for help.

Fearing the beginning of another war, the colonial government would rather do nothing than risk bringing attention to the colony, but it’s already too late. The colony stands upon a crossroads. Its future is uncertain. They’ll have to adapt if they’re to survive. 

Vigilance is the seventh book in the bestselling First Colony series.

  1. I am one of your “fans”. You are doing an amazing job in this series, I love the action, characters, and plot. I just read your history that you wrote at the end of volume seven, amazing. Yes, you are a writer! Remember, not even the great classical writers scored a hit with each book they wrote.

  3. Love the First Colony Series and really looking forward to reading Book 7 – but the links to it are not there?

    1. Amazon is having some kind of issue. They’ve told me they’re working on the problem. I’ll let you know when they’ve fixed it.

  4. I have greatly enjoyed reading The First Colony series. I was captivated reading the first in the series and I have just finished book 7! You have a wonderful writing talent and I am excited that really good SciFi/ Action writing still exists.
    When I go to Costco with my wife and look over the popular books to find something to read, I usually come away disappointed that most of the books don’t really offer anything new and exciting to me. I get tired of the shallow mysteries, spy stories, just ordinary military type reading. Seldom do I find really imaginative stories.
    I am so excited by your writing and thank you for your efforts in laying out this strang new world for your readers.
    I sincerely hope you have lots more energy to keep adding to this series.
    Now that there isn’t another book in this series yet, I’ll back pedal a little and check out the other books and stories you have written.

      Thank you for your kind words I’m glad you’re enjoying the First Colony series. I do have lots of energy 🙂 The cast of characters might change but it’s fun world to spend some time in.

  5. I have enjoyed your First Colony series through audible. Do you plan to make book 7 available through Audible and if so when?

    1. Vigilance will be available on Audible in June. I don’t have a release date yet but will announce it when I do.

  7. Oh no! I accidentally finished book 7 already! Was just reading along on my lunch break on my kindle when suddenly its over already. A very captivating series. Pretty sure I’ve read each book in only a week or two of lunch breaks each.

    How many books do you expect to write in this series and when oh when will I find out where the heck the battle group ended up!?

  9. I loved the comments at the end of your book (I am a database admin so I understand a bit about what your job was).
    I just finish the first colony books. They are interesting and I can see many directions from where you are now. Have fun with it and we will be there to read.
    I also want to second Jims question….when may we have some more please:)
