Many years ago (back in 2013) I created a contact form so people could reach out to me. It has been a real blessing—I’ve received countless encouraging emails over the years, and I truly appreciate every one of them.

Unfortunately, I need to make some changes. For quite a while now, AI-powered spam bots—and people using AI to flatter their way into pitching services I neither want nor need—have completely overwhelmed the form. They bypass every spam protection I put in place, and no amount of email filtering can stop the flood of junk.

I’ve thought long and hard about how to keep genuine communication open while shutting out the spammers. Believe me, I still want to hear from readers who enjoy my stories. The best solution I’ve come up with is this:

If you’d like to contact me, please join my mailing list. Once you’re subscribed, simply reply to any of the emails that come from the list. I personally read every reply that comes in that way, so I’ll see your message.
